Open the Help Centre

Help panel
  • 1Search help, e.g. timesheet flags
  • 2Take the tour · 3 stepsTour
  • 3On this page: Approving timesheets
  • 4Contact us · My requests · What's new
  1. 1Search every article you can see. Typos are fine.
  2. 2Guided tour for this screen. Replay it any time.
  3. 3Articles about the page you're on, most relevant first.
  4. 4Open a support request, see your requests, or read the changelog.

Step by step

  1. 1
Press the ? button or the H key
Every screen has a round ? help button in the header. It opens a panel on the right with the articles for the page you're on. On a keyboard, press H (when you're not typing in a box).
  2. 2
    Search in plain words
Type what you're trying to do, like "approve timesheet" or "why no offers". Search forgives typos, so "timeshet" still finds timesheets.
  3. 3
    Open an article
Articles explain the steps, the rules behind the screen and what happens behind the scenes. Use "Open as a full page" to read or share a longer article.
  4. 4
    Tell us if it helped
Every article ends with "Was this helpful?". The I Recruit team reads the answers and comments and improves the articles that miss the mark.

What happens behind the scenes

  • You only see articles for your own portal and roles (for example, invoice articles only show for school admins and finance). I Recruit staff can see every article.
  • Search runs in your browser, so results appear as you type. It ranks title matches first, then keywords, the summary, and the article text.
  • Your "Was this helpful?" vote is stored against the article. If you're signed in you get one vote per article and can change it.

Tips

  • Staff can also find articles from the command palette (Ctrl or Cmd + K): results starting with "Help:" open in the panel.
  • Some empty screens and error pages include a "How this works" link straight to the right article.
