How you earn it, and keep it

Step by step

  1. 1
    Book through I Recruit
Each shift day worked by an I Recruit teacher or educator, with a submitted or approved timesheet, is a completed booking. Your dashboard shows your progress, for example 7 of 10 bookings.
  2. 2
    Earn 12 months free
On your 10th completed booking we email your admins and our team sets up your access with The Better Us Project, usually within 5 business days. We email you again when it's ready.
  3. 3
    Keep it free
Book 200 or more days of shifts within your 12-month year (each teacher or educator each day counts as one day) and it's renewed free for another year, starting when the current one ends. Your Better Us page shows, for example, 142 of 200 days.

What happens behind the scenes

  • 30 days before your year ends we email you: either that you've qualified, or how many days short you are.
  • If a year lapses, booking 200 days in any 12 months earns a new free year.
  • One entitlement per school or centre account. It has no cash value and can't be transferred. The Better Us Project's own terms apply to using it.

Questions

Is it for early learning centres too?

Yes. The program is designed for early learning centres as well as schools, and the same rules apply.

Do half days count?

Each shift day worked counts as one booking and one day, whatever its length.
